As Controller, Doug Mortenson oversees all financial operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and managing treaty and cession reporting. Prior to his time at ISLS, Doug spent over two decades working in the MGU space. 

Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from the University of St. Thomas. He and his wife are empty nesters who enjoy traveling and spending time with their adult children. When they’re not traveling, Doug and his wife enjoy hiking with their two dogs in their adopted hometown of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Originally from Minnesota, they are glad to be free from long winters.
